Fresh Servant, Jakobstad

Fresh Nearly Doubles Its Production Facility

  • Fresh Servant expanded its production facility from approximately 8,000 square meters to nearly 15,000 square meters. The investment was valued at approximately €25 million, and the new facility became operational in summer 2022.
  • Jake was entrusted with the project and began site work and foundation construction for the new facility, which was primarily built using precast concrete and steel cladding elements.

  • Contract Type: Design-build contract (including design, construction, and building systems)
    Construction Period: March 2021 – April 2022
    Project Scope: Salad production facility constructed with precast concrete and steel elements, including a 14-meter-high automated warehouse and approximately 7,000 m² across two floors.
    Energy Efficiency: Most areas are temperature-controlled and dehumidified. Excess heat is recovered and reused as needed for space heating and process water.
    Employment Impact: The project generated approximately 30 person-years of work, the majority carried out by local labor.
